Stages of Career Development
There are five main stages of career development. These stages involve the period prior to college to retirement from a job. Each stage shows experience to be gained by an individual.

3. Mid-Career:
This is the stage when one develops more skills and gets better job positions. While some may upgrade their performance greatly, other’s performance is just the same no change or even decrease. One’s performance may remain the same but they will be competent and satisfied. Those that perform the best reach high heights and may become coachers or heads to those below. They are ready for new skills and become richer.
4. Late Career:
This is the happiest stages of all where one has no aspirations to improve or upgrade their skills or performance. Its enough stage, and he or she depends on one’s reputation to get better positions. One will enjoy being an elder in the industry and usually acquires a role of consultation. He or she might explore work outside the organisation and might open up a company of their own.
5. Decline
It is termed the hard stage as it is the time when one retires after decades of working. One would be so attached to his line of work that it becomes saddening and hard to leave everything. After retiring, some may rest back at home while others explore new easier jobs to hold.
